Compose your shots. You should try to put your subject off-center, to make your shots more interesting.
Take notice of what’s in the background. Ask yourself, “Is the background helping visually, or is it distracting?”
Keep the camera steady.
Check your orientation. If you’re shooting from a smartphone, hold it horizontally, in the landscape orientation.
Frame your webcam shots properly. If you’re shooting from a webcam, also consider these points:
Place the laptop on a surface so that the camera is directly in line with your forehead.
Sit up straight and make sure your upper body is visible in the camera area.
Make eye contact. Look into the webcam and not at the screen.
However you shoot your video, just enjoy the process!
Troubleshooting checklist:
Check your Internet connection. A weak wireless signal can time out and lead to an unsuccessful upload. We recommmend using a wired internet connection.
Check your file extension. Supported file types include: .mov, .mpeg4, .mp4, .avi and .wmv.
Check your file size. File uploads are limited to 250MB and under.
